Ukraine's Coronavirus Daily Recoveries Exceed New Cases for the First Time

For the first time in Ukraine's coronavirus history, the number of daily recoveries is greater than the number of new cases.

Such data was reported on May 14 by the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. In that way, 427 have recovered from the coronavirus and 422 new cases were registered over the last 24 hours.

Of those 422 cases, 136 were hospitalized. 70 healthcare workers and 42 children have been infected with coronavirus on May 14.

The Chernivtsi region in western Ukraine remains the most infected region with 2,516 cases. Kyiv city has 2,012 cases. The Luhansk and Cherhiniv regions are the least affected with 42 and 84 registered cases respectively.

No new cases have been established in the Luhansk, Poltava and Kherson regions on May 14.

Overall, Ukraine now has 16,847 coronavirus cases with 4,143 recoveries and 456 deaths.
