The coronavirus is spreading, despite the Ukrainian governments best efforts. Ukraine has closed down schools, restaurants, and malls — it's shut down both intracity and regional travel, closed its borders, and instituted a nearly—complete ban on civilian air travel in the country. But new cases of the coronavirus are still appearing.

9:00 a.m.  18,291 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine. A total of 5,116 patients have already recovered and 514 have died from complications.

May 16

9:00 a.m.  17,858 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine, including 1,269 children and 3,512 physicians. A total of 4,906 patients have already recovered from coronavirus disease, and 497 have died from complications.

May 15

9:00 a.m. A total of 4,473 people have recovered from the coronavirus disease since the start of the pandemic. 483 new cases were registered over the previous day, and 20 cases have turned lethal, resulting in a death total of 476. Over 5,000 Ukrainians are currently hospitalized for COVID-19 treatment.

9:00 a.m. 427 have recovered from the coronavirus and 422 new cases were registered over the last 24 hours. For the first time in Ukraine's coronavirus history, the number of daily recoveries is greater than the number of new cases.Overall, Ukraine now has 16,847 coronavirus cases with 4,143 recoveries and 456 deaths.

9:00 a.m.  16,425 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemic.  402 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,716 patients have already recovered from coronavirus disease, while 439 have died from complications.

May 12

9:00 a.m.  Since the beginning of the epidemic, 16,023 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine, with 375 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours. A total of 3,373 patients have already recovered from COVID-19 (+85 since yesterday), and 425 have died from complications (+17).

May 11

9:00 a.m.  Since the beginning of the epidemic, 15,648 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine. 416 new cases were recorded over the last 24 hours. A total of 3,060 patients have already recovered, and 408 have died.

9:30 a.m. 15,232 Ukrainians have been confirmed to be infected with the novel coronavirus COVID-19 as of May 10, according to the Center for Public Health. 522 new cases were uncovered over the previous day.

9:00 a.m. 515 new cases of the coronavirus have been confirmed in Ukraine, bringing Ukraine's coronavirus total to 14,710, just short of 15,000. Nearly 3,000 patients have recovered and 376 deaths have been directly attributed to COVID-19.

9:10 a.m.  14,195 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Ukraine since the beginning of the epidemic. Of these, 2,706 patients have recovered and 361 died. Over the last 24 hours, 504 new cases of the disease were recorded.

9:15 a.m.  13,691 people have confirmed COVID-19 disease in Ukraine. 2,396 people have recovered and 340 died. 507 new cases of coronavirus were recorded since May 6, including 28 children and 109 medics.

9:05 a.m.  13,184 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine. A total of 2,097 people have recovered, whilst 327 died. 487 people were reported to have coronavirus disease over the past 24 hours, including 24 children and 72 health workers.

9:15 a.m.  The number of coronavirus infections in Ukraine has increased to 12,697. Over the past 24 hours, 366 people were reported ill, including 26 children and 92 health workers. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 316 people have died from complications caused by the coronavirus (13 in the past 24 hours), and 1,875 patients have recovered (256 in the past 24 hours).

9:25 a.m. 12,331 people have already been confirmed as COVID-19 carriers in Ukraine. 303 people have died of related complications, while 1,619 have recovered. 418 new cases were detected since the morning of May 3.

9:30 a.m. 11,913 coronavirus cases have currently been diagnosed in Ukraine. That includes 288 related deaths and 1,547 recoveries.

9:00 a.m. 11,411 people in Ukraine have been diagnosed with the coronavirus disease. This includes 2,250 healthcare workers and 771 children. 550 new cases were detected since the previous day's data. 279 coronavirus-infected people have died and 1,498 have recovered since the start of the pandemic.

10:00 a.m.   10,861 people have coronavirus confirmed in Ukraine. 272 have died and 1,413 have recovered from the infection.  455 new cases were detected on April 30.

9:30 a.m  10,406 people have had coronavirus confirmed in Ukraine. 261 people have died from complications, while 1,238 have recovered. Over the past 24 hours, 540 new cases were detected.

9:15 a.m.  9,410 people have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Ukraine, of whom 239 have died and 992 have recovered. 401 new cases of infection were detected over the past 24 hours.

9:30 a.m.  9,009 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine. 220 people have died, while 864 recovered. 392 new cases  were recorded in the past 24 hours.

9:30 a.m.  8,617 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine. Of these, 209 people have died and 840 recovered. In the past day, 492 new cases were recorded.

9:30 a.m.  8,125 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been laboratory-confirmed in Ukraine. 478 new cases were recorded over the day. In total, 201 patients died of complications caused by COVID-19 in the country, including 105 men and 96 women. 86% of the deceased were persons over the age of 50. At the same time, 782 people have successfully recovered, including 145 physicians.

April 24

9:30 a.m. 477 new coronavirus cases  were confirmed over the previous day, raising Ukraine's total to 7,647. 193 patients have died from the disease, while 601 patients have recovered, according to the Center for Public Health.

April 23

9:30 a.m. One-fifth of all coronavirus cases in Ukraine are medical workers, reports the Minister of Health. 1,386 medical workers have been diagnosed with the disease, out of 7,170 in total. 475 children have also been confirmed to have the disease.

9:30 a.m.  6,592 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have been lab-confirmed in Ukraine. 467 new cases were reported over the previous day. 174 patients have died of complications caused by COVID-19, including 90 men and 84 women, while 424 people have successfully recovered.

9:30 a.m. 415 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine over the previous day, bringing Ukraine's confirmed case total count to 6,125. 161 patients have died of complications caused by COVID-19, and 367 have successfully recovered.

9:30 a.m. 5,710 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have been lab-confirmed in Ukraine. 261 new cases were reported over the previous day. 151 patients have died of complications caused by COVID-19, including 80 men and 71 women. At the same time, 359 people have successfully recovered.

9:30 a.m. 343 new coronavirus cases were registered in Ukraine by the Ministry of Health over the previous day, bringing Ukraine's confirmed case total count to just shy of 5,500. The country has conducted a little over fifty-seven thousand tests. According to police data, Easter Sunday saw nearly 130,000 Ukrainians ignore quarantine recommendations to attend services at church.

April 18

9:30 a.m. Ukraine breaks 5,000 coronavirus cases with 444 new cases from the previous day. 133 patients have died from the virus, while 275 have recovered, including a number of children. Kyiv remains the most highly infected city in the country, with 770 confirmed cases.

April 17

9:30 a.m.  4,662 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have been lab-confirmed in Ukraine. Record 501 new cases were reported over the course of April 16. 125 patients have died of complications caused by COVID-19, including 66 men and 59 women. At the same time, 246 people have successfully recovered.

9:30 a.m.  4,161 casesof SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection have been laboratory-confirmed in Ukraine. 397 more cases were recorded on April 15. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health with reference to data of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health.

April 15

9:30 a.m.  3,764 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in Ukraine have been confirmed in the laboratory. A total of 392 new cases were recorded during the previous day. 108 patients have died from complications caused by COVID-19, whilst 143 patients have successfully recovered.

April 14

9:30 a.m.  3,372 people in Ukraine have cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease confirmed in the laboratory, of which 119 patients have recovered and 98 died. 270 new cases were recorded over the last 24 hours, reported the Ministry of Health.

April 13

9:30 a.m.  Ukraine now has 3,102 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. 97 patients have recovered, 93 deaths are reported by the press service of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

9:30 a.m. 2,777 people in Ukraine have test-proven coronavirus infections. 89 people have recovered and 83 have died because of the virus.

April 11

9:30 a.m.  The number of coronavirus-infected people in Ukraine has now risen to 2,511. This includes 79 recoveries and 73 deaths. 26,577 coronavirus tests have been carried out in Ukraine so far. This was reported by Ukraine's Ministry of Health.

April 10

9:30 a.m.  There are now 2,203 laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine. 69 were lethal, 61 patients have recovered. In the past 24 hours, 311 new cases were recorded, the Health Ministry reports.

April 9

12:30 p.m.  41 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus infection have been recorded in Kyiv, including 26 in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra abbot. This takes the number in the capital to 355, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reports. Two doctors were among the infected, and one death was recorded in Kyiv.

9:30 a.m.  1,892 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine. Of these, 45 people recovered and 57 died. Over the past day, 224 new cases were recorded.

April 8

9:44 a.m. A rise of 206 confirmed cases over the previous day has brought Ukraine's confirmed coronavirus total to 1,668, reports the Ministry of Health, with 52 deaths and 35 recoveries.

The Mykolaiv region is the only Ukrainian region to report zero confirmed coronavirus cases, though there are a number of suspected infections. The capital Kyiv region currently ranks as the hardest-hit by the pandemic, leading with 376 cases - 256 of which are in the capital of Kyiv.

April 7

9:30 a.m.  1,462 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine. 45 people have died and 28 have already recovered, reports the Ministry of Health.

2:44 p.m.  4 COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, where the believers had previously been called upon to ignore restrictions imposed by the state during the quarantine due to the threat of coronavirus spread. Kyiv City Mayor Vitaliy Klychko announced this at a briefing.

9 a.m.  1,319 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded in Ukraine. Of these, 38 were lethal, 28 patients recovered.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. 68 new cases were recorded on April 5.

April 5

10 p.m.  1,308 cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine, the press service of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reports. 37 patients have died, whilst 28 have already recovered.

10 a.m.  There are 1,251 patients with coronavirus recorded In Ukraine, as of the morning of April 5. In total, 32 patients died and 25 recovered.
This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Over the past day, 156 new cases were recorded.

April 4

10 p.m.  1,225 patients are registered as infected with coronavirus SARS-CoV-2: during the day of April 4, 126 more cases were reported.
The press service of the Ministry of Health announced this with reference to data of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health.

10 a.m.  The Ministry of Health reports 1,096 patients with coronavirus in Ukraine. 154 new infections were recorded on April 3. In total, 28 patients have died,  whilst 23 made recoveries.

April 3

10 p.m.  According to the latest data by the health ministry's Center for Public Health, the number of people in Ukraine infected with the coronavirus has now reached 1,072. 27 Ukrainians have died from the disease and 22 have recovered.

10:00 a.m.  942 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19 coronavirus disease in Ukraine, with 138 new cases recorded in the past 24 hours. Of those infected. 23 people have died and 19 patients have recovered, reported the Ministry of Health.

April 2

10:01 p.m.  The latest data, according to the Ministry of Health, is that Ukraine has 897 confirmed coronavirus cases. 22 of them were lethal and 19 patients have been cured.

10:17 a.m. Ukraine's confirmed case count, according to the Ministry of Health, has climbed to 804, with 20 deaths and 13 recoveries. 135 new cases were confirmed over the previous day.

April 1

10:14 p.m.  The Ukrainian health ministry has reported that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Ukraine in now 794. 20 coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded, and 13 people have been cured.

10:00 a.m. The Center for Public Health reports 669 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country, representing a rise of 120 over the previous day. The capital city of Kyiv has the most new confirmed cases at 27, with the rest spread out between Ukraine's other regions.

March 31

10:01 p.m.  645 cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine: 17 cases were lethal, whilst 10 more people have recovered, reports the Ministry of Health. The number of infected persons increased by 96 during the day.

6:27 p.m. Two coronavirus-infected patients died in the western Ukrainian Chernivtsi region, Chernivtsi Regional State Administration reports. The first patient was a woman born in 1955, the second – a man born in 1962. This takes the region's death toll to 4.

10 a.m.  As of the morning of March 31, 549 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Ukraine. Over the past 24 hours, 69 new cases have been registered in the country, reports the Ministry of Health.

March 30

10 p.m.  The Health Ministry has reported that there are now 548 confirmed coronavirus cases in Ukraine. 13 people have died from coronavirus and 8 were cured.

March 29

10:19 a.m. Ukraine registered 109 new coronavirus cases over the previous day, reports the Ministry of Health, with the biggest increase in Cherkasy region - 43 new cases. 9 coronavirus cases in Ukraine have proven lethal.

March 27

11:23 p.m. The Center for Public Health at the Ministry of Health has issued a statement that 310 people in Ukraine have been confirmed to have the coronavirus, an increase of 92 new cases over the day.

2:16 p.m.  Head of the National Police in Kyiv, Andriy Kryshchenko has been diagnosed with coronavirus, Deputy Interior Minister of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko announced on Facebook.

12:10 p.m. The number of coronavirus infected people in Kyiv has increased to 55 people, Mayor Vitaliy Klychko said at a briefing.

10 a.m.  The number of coronavirus COVID-19 infections in Ukraine has increased to 218. Over the past 24 hours, 62 new cases have been reported, according to Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko.

March 26

7:16 p.m.  3 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus recovery have been officially confirmed in the Chernivtsi region. This was reported by the head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration Serhiy Osachuk.

6:58 p.m. Vitaliy Klychko announced 7 more cases in Kyiv on Facebook.

12:15 p.m.  As of 12 p.m., 40 cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Kyiv. Mayor Vitaliy Klychko announced this during a briefing.

10:06 a.m. 11 more cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Ukraine, the Ministry of Health informs. 4 new cases were recorded in the Chernivtsi region and 7 cases in the Ternopil region.

March 25

7:12 p.m.  Another 4 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in the Chernivtsi region. The total number of infected persons in the region is now 42. This was reported by the head of the Chernivtsi regional state administration Serhiy Osachuk.

6:52 p.m. The count of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Ternopil region increased to 8.  4 more cases have been reported by the Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

6:06 p.m. The first case of coronavirus infection in the Sumy region was recorded in the town of Konotop -- in a 76-year-old woman, Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported.

5:15 p.m. The first case of COVID-19 infection has been recorded in the Vinnytsia region. This was announced at a briefing held by the head of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration Vladyslav Skalskyi.

4:03 p.m. On his Telegram channel, Kyiv City Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reported 3 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection in the capital.

3:50 p.m.  A 68-year-old man died from COVID-19 in Kovalivka village, Ternopil region in Western Ukraine. This war reported by the Ternopil City Council’s operational headquarters. This is the first confirmed coronavirus death in the region and the fourth one in Ukraine.

11:43 a.m. The first case of coronavirus infection was recorded in the western Ukrainian Volyn region. COVID-19 was found in a 7-year-old girl. This was reported by the Volyn Regional State Administration on Facebook.

11:23 a.m. A rapid test for the presence of coronavirus infection showed a positive result for one passenger, who had arrived at the Kyiv Boryspil airport from the Middle East on March 24. This was reported by the press service of the State Border Service.

7 a.m. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine has reported on their website that as of March 25, there are 113 known coronavirus cases across Ukraine. 38 of them are in the western Chernivtsi region (including 1 death), 31 in Kyiv, 22 in the Kyiv region, 5 in the Ivano-Frankivsk region (including 1 death), 4 in the Ternopil region, 2 in Dnipropetrovsk, 2 in Zhytomyr (including 1 death), 2 in Zaporizhzhya, 2 in Lviv, 1 in Volyn, 1 in Donetsk, 1 in Luhansk, 1 in Odesa, and 1 in Cherkasy regions. 1 full recovery was registered in the Chernivtsi region.

11:30 a.m. The head of the western Ukrainian region of Chernivtsi's regional administration reveals that the region - the first to report coronavirus cases in the country - has now confirmed an additional 13 cases.

10:01 a.m. The Ministry of Health reports that on the morning of March 24, 84 people have been confirmed to have coronavirus in Ukraine. This is 11 more cases than the previous day's reporting.

March 23

8:53 p.m.  The deputy head of the Servant of the People faction Yevheniya Kravchuk said that MP Ruslan Horbenko was diagnosed with coronavirus. She reported this on her Facebook page.

9:30 p.m.  26 new confirmed coronavirus cases have been registered in Ukraine, according to the health ministry.

March 21

8 p.m. The Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko has announced 7 new cases in Kyiv.

March 20

11 p.m. 12 cases have been detected around the same time across Ukraine, making the total number of the cases 41. 10 of the 12 were in the Chernivtsi region, one in the Kyiv region, and one in the Ternopil region.

8 p.m. Three new cases have been announced in Ukraine: one in the western Ivano-Frankivsk region, one in the Kharkiv region, and one in the Lviv region.

6:44 p.m.  The first case of coronavirus infection was found in Lviv. The total number of infected in Ukraine has increased to 27, the mayor of the city Andriy Sadovyy informed.

"It is a Lviv resident, born in 1950, who returned from Germany on March 13," he explained.

March 19

11:38 p.m.  Five more cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus were detected in the Chernivtsi region. The number of infected there has increased to 15 people. This was stated by the head of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration Serhiy Osachuk.

8:41  p.m.  A woman infected with SARS-CoV-2 has died in Ivano-Frankivsk a day after being hospitalized, bringing Ukraine's death toll to 3. The results of the test came after death, the Ukrainian Ministry of Healthcare reported. The woman practiced self-medication and was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition.

5:35 p.m.  A 50-year-old male Kyivan who recently visited Switzerland has also been diagnosed with COVID-19. One of Kyiv's private medical centers failed to inform the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Center about the positive result of the coronavirus test in Kyiv. The diagnosis was confirmed to the public authorities on March 19 by one of the German laboratories.

"The patient is now at home in self-isolation and receiving treatment under the supervision of doctors,"  reported Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko.

4:42 p.m.  One more case has been registered in Kyiv, according to the Ministry of Health. "The patient is isolated and he's receiving symptomatic treatment," reads a statement by the Ministry, with no further details provided.

3:54 p.m.  The mayor of Zhytomyr, a city in central Ukraine, announces that a resident of his city, recently returned from Austria, has been diagnosed with the coronavirus. "56 years old, laboratory analysis has confirmed the presence of coronavirus in this person. His situation is more or less normal, and we'll later provide more information," announced the mayor. He added that a brigade of medical personnel will be on hand at Boryspil airport and at the Kyiv train station to assist Zhytomyr residents.

2:43 p.m.  The Kyiv Regional Administration has stated that the wife of the MP who was diagnosed with the coronavirus has also come down with the disease. The MP's family has been isolated, and tests are on-going on the MP's mother and sister.
