Over 4,600 People Confirmed to Carry Coronavirus in Ukraine

As of the morning of April 17, 4,662 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus have been lab-confirmed in Ukraine. Record 501 new cases were reported over the course of April 16. 125 patients have died of complications caused by COVID-19, including 66 men and 59 women. At the same time, 246 people have successfully recovered.

3,051 patients are currently on outpatient treatment. A total of 1,611 infected persons were hospitalized, including 73 children.

This is evidenced by data from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

By region, the results are as follows:

Cherkasy region - 137 cases (7 recovered);
Chernivtsi region - 759 cases (25 recovered);
Chernihiv region - 12 cases (3 recovered);
Dnipropetrovsk region - 89 cases (9 recovered);
Donetsk region - 12 cases (6 recovered);
Ivano-Frankivsk region - 427 cases (27 recovered);

Kharkiv region - 56 cases (2 recovered);
Kherson region - 51 cases (5 recovered);
Khmelnytskyi region - 38 cases (3 recovered);

Kyiv city - 705 cases (30 recovered);
Kyiv region - 253 cases (16 recovered);
Kirovohrad region - 218 cases (6 recovered);
Lviv region. - 203 cases (11 recovered);
Luhansk region - 9 cases;
Mykolaiv region - 22 cases;
Odesa region - 93 cases;
Poltava region - 41 cases (4 recovered);
Rivne region - 240 cases (8 recovered);
Sumy region - 81 cases (6 recovered);
Ternopil region - 353 cases (25 recovered);

Vinnytsia region - 296 cases (17 recovered);
Volyn region - 122 cases (11 recovered);

Zakarpattya region - 150 cases (12 recovered);
Zaporizhzhya region - 118 cases (12 recovered);

Zhytomyr region - 177 cases (1 recovered).

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol is unavailable.
