Over 12,000 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases in Ukraine

As of the morning of May 4, 12,331 people have already been confirmed as COVID-19 carriers in Ukraine. 303 people have died of related complications, while 1,619 have recovered. 418 new cases were detected since the morning of May 3.

This is evidenced by data from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health.

In total, 855 children and 2,387 medical workers were confirmed to have the disease. A total of 134,592 PCR samples were tested in Ukraine.

8,669 patients are on outpatient treatment, including 703 children and 1,975 physicians. A total of 3,662 citizens required hospitalization, including 152 children and 412 medics. 160 people, including one child and 14 physicians had to be connected to the ventilator.

As a result of the complications caused by the disease, 303 people died, including 18 health workers. Among the deceased, the vast majority were aged over 50 (86%). At the same time, 1,619 patients have already recovered, including 358 healthcare providers.
