The Ukrainian MP from the People's Front political party and coordinator of the Information Resistance OSINT Group Dmytro Tymchuk was found dead on June 19 in Kyiv. According to preliminary investigation, he shot himself while cleaning a gun that was previously awarded to him by the state.
The fact of the death was confirmed to Hromadske by the spokesperson of Ukraine's Interior Ministry Artem Shevchenko.
"There are three versions: a murder, a suicide, or careless weapon handling," Shevchenko said.
However, according to another People's Front MP Anton Gerashchenko, Tymchuk killed himself while cleaning a gun. Gerashchenko also cited Tymchuk's wife to 112-Ukraine television channel as saying that the late MP "accidentally injured himself" and that Tymchuk had died before the ambulance arrived to rescue him.
