Three ministers who have foreign citizenship were appointed to positions inside Ukraine's new government. While these new appointments have drawn some criticism because they were not Ukrainian citizens at the time of their appointment, both Olga Belkova from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc and Viktoriya Voytsitska from Samopomich said these new ministers would perhaps have an advantage as foreigner: they would not be worried about gaining wide political support. Instead, they would focus on pushing through difficult reforms.
Olga Belkova, an MP from the Poroshenko Bloc, Viktoriya Voytsitska, an MP from Samopomich, and Anton Kuchukhidze, a member of the Opposition Bloc took part in a roundtable discussion during Hromadske International's Sunday Show on Dec. 7, 2014 that was moderated by co-hosts Ian Bateson and Nataliya Gumenyuk.
