Ukraine has no restrictions on hitting Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said in an interview with "Voice of America."
Reznikov hopes that the US will provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with ATACMS missiles for HIMARS with a range of 300 kilometers.

According to the Defence Minister, these missiles will allow hit targets in all occupied territories and even in the border regions of Russia.

He also emphasized that he does not currently see the possibility of "freezing" the war in Ukraine, as it has been since 2014 in the east of the country.

The Crimean Bridge

Adviser to the Head of the Office of President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliak, said that such objects as the Crimean bridge should be destroyed and said there could be more attacks in the "next two or three months" in the occupied Crimea similar to attacks near Dzhankoi and Saky.

The bridge across the Kerch Strait was opened in May 2018. In December 2019, Russia launched a railway connection with the bridge. The US introduced additional sanctions in response to this move.

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the idea of destroying this bridge has been discussed because Russian occupying forces use it to transfer reinforcements to their army.

Back in April, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danilov said that the Armed Forces are ready to strike the Crimean Bridge at the first opportunity, but Ukraine does not yet have such long-range weapons.
