So far, 20 presidential hopefuls have officially registered their intentions to run in the upcoming elections in Ukraine. However, this list is likely to increase before registration closes next week. After all, incumbent President Poroshenko is yet to submit his registration.
Another name not yet on the list is that of former investigative journalist Dmytro Gnap, who was chosen as the Power of People party’s candidate on January 20. Gnap announced that he was leaving journalism for politics back in June 2018. In his previous career, Gnap’s work focused on uncovering high-level corruption and investigating crime.
On this week’s Sunday Show, we sit down with Gnap to discuss his career change, what he stands for as an aspiring politician and why he thinks he’d make a good president.
