Former Georgian President and ex-governor of Ukraine's Odesa region Mikheil Saakashvili has set foot in Ukraine. He landed in Kyiv Boryspil Airport on a plane from Warsaw where he got his Ukrainian passport earlier today.
"I am grateful to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who restored my Ukrainian citizenship. I did not come back for revenge. I am here to build new Ukraine along with 65 million Ukrainians that were mentioned by Zelenskyy," Saakashvili said to the press.

Also today, one of Saakashvili's party's leaders and former deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine David Sakvarelidze in an interview to the publication Apostrophe announced that The Movement of New Forces party will take part in the early parliamentary elections, which will take place on July 21.
"We, as a party, will go to these elections and will defend that philosophy and those projects that we want to realize. Participation in elections is our duty to voters, " Sakvarelidze said.

Earlier, Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party stated that they would not have Saakashvili on their party list.

Zelenskyy readmitted Saakashvili to Ukrainian citizenship on May 28.
