Russian contract soldiers waiting for end of May to "legally" flee Ukraine — SBU

At the end of May 2022, the 90—day deadline set by Russian law for a special military operation in Ukraine expires. Therefore, those soldiers who arrived in Ukraine in February have grounds to legally leave the service.

At the end of May 2022, the 90-day deadline set by Russian law for a "special military operation in Ukraine" expires. Therefore, those soldiers who arrived in Ukraine in February have grounds to "legally" leave the service.

This is evidenced by telephone conversations of the occupiers, which are intercepted by the Security Service of Ukraine.

"They said there would be no replacement. Nobody wants to replace us, everyone refuses to come here. I think I'll sit this through — it's three months soon… I have to get out somehow... I'll look for work as a civilian," the occupier told his friend.

It is not easy to find new people willing to fight in Ukraine. So the Russian command is trying to keep at least these soldiers.

"They come, campaign there using all means possible: 'Junior classes write you letters. If you leave, who will stay here?' They are afraid that the evaluation will be tainted in the personnel file, but it hasn't stopped anyone yet," said the invader.
