Over 8000 Coronavirus Carriers Reported in Ukraine, over 200 Deaths

As of the morning of April 25, 8,125 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been laboratory-confirmed in Ukraine. 478 new cases were recorded over the day. In total, 201 patients died of complications caused by COVID-19 in the country, including 105 men and 96 women. 86% of the deceased were persons over the age of 50. At the same time, 782 people have successfully recovered, including 145 physicians.

This is evidenced by data from the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

5,498 people are currently in outpatient treatment, including 433 children and 1,391 health workers. A total of 2,627 people have been hospitalized, including 112 children and 273 doctors. 104 people, including one child, are connected to artificial lung ventilators.

By region, the situation is as follows:

Cherkasy region - 249 cases (54 recovered);
Chernivtsi region - 1,308 cases (52 recovered);
Chernihiv region - 22 cases (3 recovered);
Dnipropetrovsk region - 240 cases (13 recovered);
Donetsk region - 27 cases (10 recovered);
Ivano-Frankivsk region. - 700 cases (66 recovered);

Kharkiv region - 125 cases (15 recovered);
Kherson region - 79 cases (15 recovered);
Khmelnytskyi region - 66 cases (12 recovered);

Kyiv city - 1,159 cases (60 recovered);
Kyiv region - 519 cases (47 recovered);
Kirovohrad region - 306 cases (53 recovered);
Lviv region - 317 cases (41 recovered);
Luhansk region - 28 cases (3 recovered);
Mykolaiv region - 103 cases;
Odessa region - 183 cases (8 recovered);
Poltava region - 169 cases (14 recovered);
Rivne region - 483 cases (41 recovered);
Sumy region - 94 cases (47 recovered);
Ternopil region - 565 cases (55 recovered);
Vinnytsia region - 377 cases (56 recovered);
Volyn region - 212 cases (40 recovered);
Zakarpattya region - 286 cases (30 recovered);
Zaporizhzhya region - 171 cases (37 recovered);

Zhytomyr region - 337 cases (10 recovered).

Ukraine has already done PCR tests for the coronavirus on more than 83,000 people.
