Hundreds of people gathered at Protasiv Yar in Kyiv to bid their final farewell to the late Roman Ratushnyi, a fighter of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". On June 9, he died in battle near Izyum.
Protasiv Yar was an important place for the Kyiv activist. He lived nearby and became the face of protest against the redevelopment of the Protasiv Yar area. He later founded an eponymous public initiative. The construction mafia groups persecuted Roman for his activities.

Now a mural has appeared on Protasiv Yar with the inscription "Roman Ratushnyi. "Heroes Don't Die" and Roman's quote: "The more Russians we kill now, the fewer our children will have to kill."

When a black vehicle with a "Cargo 200" sign approached the meeting place, everyone knelt in respect. Ratushnyi's comrades lit flares, just as they did at the numerous protests in which Roman took part.
Candles were lit under the mural and flowers were laid.
