Anya Skorohod, an MP formerly of the ruling Servant of the People party, posted on Telegram that she has been diagnosed with a coronavirus infection.
“In order to stem the spread of rumours, I want to say that today (March 28 – ed.), my test for COVID-19 has come back positive,” the MP wrote.
She then called for everyone who had been in contact with her recently to self-isolate for 14 days.
“My main symptom is the loss of scent,” she added.
She is one of at least three MPs confirmed to have coronavirus – previously, Ruslan Gorbenko and Serhiy Shakhov were both diagnosed with the disease, and an unknown number of their colleagues are also suspected to have contracted COVID-19.
