Count of Coronavirus Infections in Ukraine Exceeds 4,000

4,161 cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection have been laboratory-confirmed in Ukraine as of the morning of April 16. 397 more cases were recorded on April 15.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health with reference to data of the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health.

116 people have died from the coronavirus, while 186 patients have recovered.

The breakdown of coronavirus infections by region:

Cherkasy region - 110 cases;
Chernihiv region - 11 cases;

Chernivtsi region - 662 cases;

Dnipropetrovsk region - 78 cases;
Donetsk region - 12 cases;
Zhytomyr region - 162 cases;
Zakarpattya region - 116 cases;
Zaporizhzhya region - 115 cases;
Ivano-Frankivsk region - 401 cases;

Kharkiv region - 40 cases;
Kherson region - 44 cases;
Khmelnytskyi region - 37 cases;

Kirovohrad region - 198 cases;
Kyiv City - 644 cases;
Kyiv region - 234 cases;
Lviv region - 166 cases;
Luhansk region - 4 cases;
Mykolaiv region - 22 cases;
Odesa region - 73 cases;
Poltava region - 27 cases;
Rivne region - 204 cases;
Sumy region - 80 cases;

Ternopil region - 333 cases;

Vinnytsia region - 279 cases;
Volyn region - 109 cases.

The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center and by regional laboratories.

As of the morning of April 16, the Center received 1,124 reports of suspected COVID-19 infection. 14,331 such reports have been received since the beginning of 2020.

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol is unavailable.
