14 July, 2022

The general director of the Russian design and construction bureau Novator, manufacturer of Kalibr cruise missiles Russia used to attack Vinnytsia on July 14, is still not under Western sanctions, says National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAPC).

The bureau headed by Farid Abdrakhmanov produces Kalibr cruise missiles, which Russia uses mostly to destroy civilian objects.

"At a time when sanctions should, first of all, paralyze the defense and industrial complex of the Russian Federation, the heads of these enterprises are not punished and freely enjoy all the benefits of the Western world," says NAPC.

NAPC also unveiled the names of other Russian officials who are not sanctioned and are responsible for the production of weapons that kill Ukrainians:

  • Sergey Pitikov, CEO of Machine-Building Design Bureau (KB Mashinostroyeniya), which developed the Iskander ballistic missile system;
  • Igor Churbanov, CEO of the Votkinsk Machine Building Plant, which produces Tochka U tactical ballistic missiles;
  • Denis Paltsev, managing director of Arsenyev Aviation Company "Progres" named after N.I. Sazykin, manufacturer of Ka-52 attack helicopters, known as Alligator;
  • Sergey Korotkov, a member of the board of directors of the company that owns the Novosibirsk Chkalov Aviation Factory — manufacturer of Su-34 front-line bombers.
