U.K. Not Isolated — British Ambassador
10 March, 2015

Despite the United Kingdom's absence at the Minsk talks and plans to cut defense spending in the coming years, the nation is not moving into a period of isolationism, said British Ambassador to the United Kingdom Simon Smith.

According to Ambassador Smith, Britain has been a supporter of sanctions against Russia from the time of the annexation of Crimea.

The ambassador goes on to discuss the United Kingdom's role in supporting a peaceful solution in the ceasefire talks between Ukraine and Russia.

Hromadske International hosts Ian Bateson and Nataliya Gumenyuk spoke with Ambassador Simon Smith on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
