Sweden has launched an energy efficiency projects in Ukraine, Isabelle Lövin, Swedish Minister for Development and Cooperation tells Hromadske in an exclusive interview: “Ukraine is using three times more energy per person than an average European Union citizen. I know, here in Ukraine that first concern are not about climate change when it comes to dependence on importing gas, but we are talking about a waste of energy, 60% or 70%. So you can actually save that and it's also a way to win in [energy] independence”.

While the refugee crisis takes away more and more of European interest from the Eastern Ukrainian war, Lövin explains that it can’t go away completely: "We have limited resources to address global issues. However, we are all kind of impacted, so with whatever goes in the world, security is a common good".
