The KGB used to plant seeds of disinformation in the West with the hope of weakening, or dividing the Western response to Soviet aggression and then wait for the dissemination of this misinformation. Now, with the Internet and Kremlin-controlled media, the misinformation can be distributed with the click of a few buttons, said Michael Weiss, the Editor-in-Chief of www.interpretermag.com and the co-author of a recent report, ""The Menace of Unreality: How the Kremlin Weaponizes Information, Culture and Money".
