One of the most serious outbreaks of fighting happened at night between Ukrainian and separatist forces when the latter attempted to take the town of Marinka in Eastern Ukraine, ~25 km from Donetsk. One soldier of the 28th brigade and one civilian were killed, many more were injured.
Two Ukrainian soldiers in very critical condition were brought in to Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Hospital. “They are now on artificial respiration and being prepared for a surgical intrusion”, told Hromadske Serhii Ryzhenko, a chief physician of the Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Hospital. “We’ve been told other wounded fighters will be brought in later”, concluded the doctor.
At the moment all fire in Marinka is ceased, according to Ruslan Semeniuk, a Ukrainian press-officer of the Joint Center for Control of the ceasefire.
