New Faces, Same Politics In Post-Revolution Ukraine - Journalist

Despite all of the lip service that has been paid to fighting the war on corruption in Ukraine, very little has actually changed in the way the government works.

Ukraine is the most corrupt country in Europe, according to Transparency International's 2014 report.

Despite all of the lip service that has been paid to fighting the war on corruption in Ukraine, very little has actually changed in the way the government works, said Sevgil Musaieva-Borovyk, a leading investigative journalist and the Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainskaya Pravda. It is necessary to have a complete change in government mentality- not just a new rotation of political figures- to really cut down on corruption, Musaieva-Borovyk said.

Sevgil Musaieva-Borovyk, Oleksandr Danyliuk, the President's Representative in Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Andrii Shuran, the International Program Director at the Anticorruption Center took part in a roundtable discussion during Hromadske International's Sunday Show on Dec. 14, 2014 that was moderated by co-hosts Ian Bateson and Nataliya Gumenyuk.
