Georgian Legion Joins Ukraine's Army To Fight Rebels
22 February, 2016

The Georgian National Legion has recently become a part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This report is about why Georgian legionaries fight for Ukraine, what problems they face and about their daily lives:

"We came here not because we hate Russians, unlike Russian mercenaries...None of the Georgian legionaries ever received a salary or any other material goods. It's an ideological war for us. Ukraine and Georgia are brotherly states. We have much in common, including our enemies", Mamuka Mamulashvili, Georgian National Legion Commander, tells Hromadske.

Hromadske's Alisa Kovalenko and Georgiy Gogiya filmed this report in Kyiv.
