Carl Bildt: 'Staying the Course, Name of the Game with Russia'

At the World Economic Forum 2015 in Davos Hromadske's Nataliya Gumenyuk interviewed former Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt on the EU's approach to solving the crisis in Ukraine. Bildt argued that although Russia will feel the "cumulative effect" of the sanctions, solving Ukraine's financial issues is "critical" - and decisions on this matter are mostly being made by the IMF in Washington. He stressed that the EU must  help to stabilize Ukraine by supporting its reform processes, in particular its anti-corruption reforms. However, he warns that it will "take a few years for these reforms to translate into a truly new Ukraine".
