It's Back To The Soviet Union As The LNR & DNR Throw Yanukovych Elites Out

In the self-declared Donetsk and Luhansk Peoples' Republics, the old, Yanukovych-era political elite have lost their clout, said Balazs Jarabik, a visiting scholar with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace during an interview with Hromadske International. The locals who have risen to power in these breakaway regions are likely to revert to a Soviet-style system of governance in the areas' upcoming elections on Nov. 2.
