The Ukrainian military destroyed six warehouses with enemy ammunition in Kherson Oblast on August 5, as well as 79 occupiers and 30 pieces of equipment. The Armed Forces also hit two Russian control points in Chornobayivka, reported Operational Command "South".

During the day, Ukrainian fighters in the south carried out four airstrikes on a cluster of invaders, two strongholds and an ammunition warehouse in the Beryslav and Kherson districts. Rocket and artillery units were also active on this axis.

The Ukrainian military reported that on August 5, they destroyed 79 occupiers in the south, 4 T-72 tanks, 2 Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, an artillery system, a radar station and a command and staff vehicle, 10 units of armored vehicles and 11 other vehicles.

Also, the Armed Forces hit two control points of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division and the 49th Army in Chornobayivka and the command and observation post of the enemy battalion tactical group in Bruskynske, as well as the weapons and equipment concentration area in Oleshky. In addition, the military struck six ammunition depots in the Beryslav and Kherson districts.

According to the command, the situation on the southern front is "difficult, but the defense forces are controlling its development." The enemy continues to conduct combat operations along the occupied defense line. On some axes, Russians rotate manpower and redistribute equipment.

The Operational Command also noted that during the night of August 5, the enemy launched an air strike with a pair of Ka-52 helicopters (known as "Alligators"). In an attempt to attack Ukrainian positions, the occupiers attacked the northern axis of Kherson Oblast. No losses were reported.

In the Black Sea, according to the command, there are nine enemy warships and boats maneuvering near the Crimean coast — the rest are hiding in bases. Currently on combat duty are 2 surface and 2 underwater carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, as well as 1 large landing ship.
