5 Months in a Donetsk Basement

In July 2014 heavy shelling of the eastern Ukrainian Donetsk region began that affected thousands of Ukrainian civilians. As of mid-September, more than 275,000 people had been displaced in Ukraine (according to the UN Refugee Agency). Some of these have fled into Donetsk city and have taken shelter with other city residents in underground basements. In this video, Nataliya Gumenyuk takes a tour of one of these underground basement shelters and spoke with some of the internally displaced people of Ukraine.
