13 New Cases of Coronavirus Confirmed In Western Ukraine

The chairman of the Chernivtsi Regional Administration, Serhiy Osachuk, stated that the regional had officially confirmed an additional 13 cases of coronavirus on March 24. This brings up the total to 38 cases in Ukraine’s historic western Bukovina region, and 97 cases in Ukraine as a whole.

The chairman added that Chernivtsi had received its share of the coronavirus tests sent by China, and that the region’s health system was actively implementing and utilizing the new tests and equipment.

At the time of publishing, the coronavirus pandemic has infected approximately 381,500 people globally, and has resulted in nearly 17,000 deaths.
